Do you get enough protein in your diet?
According to the Three Bridges National Protein Day Survey—a nationwide survey that sheds light on the eating and nutrition habits of Americans—37% of Americans don’t get enough protein.

Key insights from the report include:
74% of Americans want to make sure they are getting the right amount of protein with every meal.

But, just 43% make sure every meal lives up to that standard. Though a solid majority of Americans feel they are getting enough protein in their meals (63%), there is still a sizeable chunk not getting enough in their diets (37%).

42% said breakfast is the meal that should be the most protein-packed, while 22% said lunch, and 36% said dinner. Some 68% say that they feel fuller longer when they eat something packed with protein as compared to other foods.

85% of Americans reach for chicken as a source of protein and 70% are turning to beef, with pork at 49% and seafood at 46%. Some 51% turn to veggies for their protein intake but when asked about non-meat proteins, 46% are game for it.

65% of Americans say buying high protein foods is important when at the grocery store and 74% said that it is important that each of their meals be protein-packed. And you can bet the 21% who say they don’t pay attention to the protein will from now on.

68% of Americans buy pre-made meals at least a few times a month and 83% of them would purchase one that had tons of protein, like Three Bridge’s Simple Dishes chef-prepared meals. In fact, 53% said the amount of protein impacted their decision to buy.
