Windy City Smokeout Moves to New Location for 2019

Windy City Smokeout, the nation’s premier outdoor BBQ and country music festival, will be held this weekend — July 12-14, 2019 — at a new location right outside of Chicago’s historic United Center. Hosted by popular barbecue joint, Bub City, and ACM award-winning, Joe’s Bar, Windy City Smokeout is the first official outdoor music festival to take place at the arena’s 250,000 square-foot parking lot along Madison Street. In its seventh year, the four-time Academy of Country Music’s Festival of the Year nominee offers the best BBQ and craft beers from around the nation plus live performances from country music’s biggest names and up-and-coming talent.

Windy City Smokeout’s expansion to the United Center offers a variety of guest perks, including additional seating and spacious lounge areas, expanded bars and extended festival hours. The new location will also improve the overall guest experience with expedited will call ticket pick-up, United Center supported security, interior bathroom facilities and easy access for ride shares  and festival pick- up. Curated add-on events make their return, including Friday’s Biggest Happy Hour of the Summer, a special appearance from Wagyumafia – the creation of Tokyo’s notorious wagyu master, Hisato Hamada, on Saturday – and the BBQ Brunch + DIY Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar on Sunday.
