The South Loop Spanish restaurant, Mercat a la Planxa, is open on Christmas Eve from 5-9 p.m. and Christmas Day from 12-8 p.m., and is putting a Catalonian spin on classic holiday dishes. Guest can enjoy a four-course menu with a selection of specials including a Suquet de Peix, a traditional Catalan casserole prepared with monkfish and lobster, or a Prime Rib Roast with iberico bacon brussel sprouts, and cauliflower-potato mash while enjoying a drink from the expansive drink menu which features a curated selection of cava, sangria, wine and cocktail creations.
